Beefy Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound ground beef, 90% lean
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained, low-sodium
  • 2 Servings Eating Smart Seasoning Mix (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese, low-fat
  • salt (optional, to taste)

‍ Instructions

  1. Wash hands with soap and water.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain the fat.
  3. Add water, macaroni, tomatoes, and seasoning mix; stir.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for 15-20 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup grated cheese.
  6. Taste; then add a small amount of salt if needed.
  7. Refrigerate leftovers.
